pet giraffe

Had Timmy known he was going to share with his tall friend, he would have made it a double dip...

I did a few sketches for a project I was working on, but this image didn't make the cut. I got ambitious and decided to go ahead and finish it up anyway.

Looks like that giraffe's favorite flavor might be chocolate chip or is that cookie dough ice cream!!
Either way... Yum!

This is wonderful Michael! I've seen several ice cream themed images this week (including my own) and I think yours is the most original. Great characters and colors. I love how the height of the giraffe's hooves line up with the bottom hem of the boy's pants. Such a great composition! I also love the way the giraffe's neck loops down like it's surrounding the cloud. Great job!

So delightful! And who has the "scoop" on the other scoop? I suspect that the giraffe already ate it, but mummmm's the word!

Love this. You really know how to balance between shading and letting the shape and all of the elements in your pieces read well at the same time. I have been struggling with this lately. Your work has such strong design, shapes composition and just the right amount of color work.

This is absolutely gorgeous! Your giraffe is awesome with that long tongue :) and the boy's "faux" mohawk is a nice touch. There is a student down the hall from my classroom that wore his hair like that all school year! I love your technique...hope you'll share your process sometime! Thanks for visiting my blog :)
